It seems that  winter is finally losening its hold on us – thank god!
After months of cold and rain with very little sunshine everyone is longing for fresh air and warmer days. And just as we humans our houses or appartments are also in need of refreshment, as over the winter months our living space may have become a little “stuffy”:-)
So here is a spiritual/shamanic practice that has passed the test of time with flying colours when it comes to clearing the air of impurities and ridding your living and even working environment of negative or stagnant energies. It is called “Smudging” which means cleansing with smoke, and the preferred ingredient for this cleansing ritual is the beautiful white sage, a plant long revered by the Native Americans as the cleansing herb.

The practice itself is simple, but it calls for clear focus and undivided attention in order to be most effective.

• You will need a sage smudge stick (those can be ordered through our webshop) and a fireproof container or bowl to catch any glowing embers or bits of ash coming off the stick.
• Take a minute to focus within your heart and create a clear intention of what you want for your space.
• Open all the windows and doors so you create a good influx of fresh air.
• Light your smudge stick and when the sage begins to burn, blow out the flames so you are left with the smoking stick.
• Now you begin the process of “Smudging”. Walk into every corner of each room in your house (and yes, bathrooms and toilets as well as storage spaces, cellars and garages also count as rooms in this case!). Let the smoke drift upwards and sideways and imagine that it envelops and absorbs all the unwanted and stale energies in your space, taking them with it as it leaves through the open windows and doors.
• While doing this, hold an intention or prayer for cleansing and renewal. Ask that the energy in your house become clear, pure and supportive to you and your family’s needs and goals.
• Invite new possibilities and creative energies into your home and imagine that you are making space for more laughter, more fun, more abundance and more love.

You can repeat this practice as often as necessary.
Often one can feel the cleansing and refreshing effects of this ancient practice right away, and if you do it regularly you will certainly find a huge difference in the energy of your home.

So many people are having a difficult time at the moment. Relationships break up, health breaks down, loved ones die unexpectedly and financial security goes down the drain. People are challenged on all levels of their existence and many feel that they are going to break under the pressure. These last few weeks of 2012 are turning into a huge clean-up time, as if every last bit of unresolved shadow has to be dredged up in order to be looked at and released before the year is out. A couple of weeks ago I had to revisit once again one of my biggest karmic issues. It came as a great shock to me -  I had thought that I had pretty much completed this particular learning, and so to be confronted with the same issue once again was painful and hard to come to terms with.

All the masters in all the scriptures and books that I have ever read talk about the power of surrender and trust and so it was clear to me that the only way out of this situation was to completely let go and find peace in the thought that everything was happening in divine order. I was asked to accept without judgement and fighting what was happening to me. Fully understanding the necessity of surrender I had not taken into account the part of me that so very much wants to stay in control. So my clever mind pretended to let go, but underneath the control mechanisms were still working overtime. Only this time the control was not overt – it was hidden under the mantle of seeming surrender. It was not until I caught myself waiting for things to turn around, because I had “surrendered”, that I understood the depth of the game of deceit my mind was playing on me. True surrender means letting go without holding onto any future expectations. As long as I expect a situation to change as a result of my surrender, I have not surrendered at all. I have only changed from one control mechanism to another.

Deep in my heart I know that surrender and trust are the answer to my own and everyone else’s life challenges. However, I found that I had to be with my back against the wall in order to recognise the insatiable need of my ego mind to control and manipulate. Only when there was nothing more I could do to change the situation did I begin to look at the simple act of true surrender – of accepting life as it is and trusting that everything that happens is for my highest good even though I cannot see it at all. And perhaps even more importantly – to trust that I will have the strength, the wisdom and the tools to deal with anything life throws at me, no matter how difficult or painful. Not because I am super woman, but because a higher power is with me, loving and guiding me every step of the way.

It will probably take a few more situations where I am pushed out of the driver’s seat and life runs its course without taking into account my plans and expectations, until I learn the art of surrender. But with every small piece of ego that I leave behind each time I dare to trust and step away from control, I find my heart becoming lighter, my mind calmer and my life more joyful. Trust is a strange thing – it asks us to step off the cliff of our expectations and fears into the void of surrender, in order to learn that always new ground rises beneath us to keep us safe and receive our next step.

Perhaps these words can help and encourage those of you who are also challenged by the energies of these turbulent times. We are all on one heck of a journey – we might as well let go and enjoy the ride!

Steven created this magnificent drum just before the start of the GLP12. The artwork is based on the geometric shape of the water molecule whose two hydrogen atoms are attached to the oxygen atom at a very precise angle of 104.7 degrees.

For me this picture is the perfect illustration of the human rainbow body with the chalice of the three heart flames drawing the observer into the centre of his/her own being. This is who we are – amazing beings of energy, each radiating their own indiviual frequencies of colour and light. Although Steven has had many requests for making a similar drum for other people, I know that none of the drums to be born will be exactly the same as this one – she is unique, a masterpiece that was created to bring beauty and harmony to the people looking at her.

And so it is with each one of us. We are all unique, we are all masterpieces, even though most of the time we can’t see it or we are unable to believe it, because the “evidence” of our ordinary 3D reality convinces us that we are unimportant and ordinary. The Golden Light Project was created to remind us of the divinity of our true nature. This programme comes from the realms of light where the Masters are waiting for us to wake up – to accept ourselves as divine sparks and act accordingly.

To all of you, who participated in the Golden Light Projects up to this point in time, I want to say: thank you for sticking it out, for facing your shadow and embracing it in order to bring it into the light. Thank you for your commitment to your own growth and the role you play in the process of global transformation. Thank you for your courage and your love.

The Golden Light Project #13 will begin a new cycle of meditations to help you adjust to the new energies of the Golden Age and ride the waves of upcoming change graciously and peacefully. No doubt our personal and collective growth process will continue but we will have the opportunity to choose where we want to be. We can either continue in the present reality or have the courage to let go of the familiar and step off the cliff into the unknown and new. The choice is ours, but choose we must. Not choosing is not an option.

I am confident that each member of our Golden Light Family has now the tools and the understanding to make the right choices. The next cycle of work beginning with GLP#13 will support you in doing so.

We have just come back from a few days in Spain, celebrating the Golden Light Project with a wonderful group of beautiful and sincere human beings – the lovely community at Los Portales! We had such a wonderful time together – meditating, singing, working with the medicine wheel and sacred ceremonies and giving and sharing from our hearts! There was a lot of laughter, too, as you can see from the photo! Everyone was invited to participate – no one too young or too old to bathe in the golden light!

This is what I love most about the Golden LIght Project – bringing people together in the powerful vibration of the golden light that has the potential to uplift everything and everyone around! Isn’t this what our world needs the most? People who joyfully share their inner light in kindness and love so that the world can become a better place.

I came back enriched and reassured that the Golden Light Project is worthwhile and necessary in the busy-ness and chaos of today’s world – that it indeed serves a wonderful purpose in holding the potential for transformation and growth for anyone willing to embark on this path. I have let those feelings sink deep into my core so that I can find them there when I come up against resistance, ignorance or rejection. I hold them like a beautiful treasure with gratitude and love so that they will continue to warm my heart now and in the days to come.

Dear Liz and Sabine,

Firstly, thank you for sharing your experiences! We are really grateful for all the comments that we receive  - they show how much we are all growing and changing!

You both are experiencing what we lovingly call the “side effects” of the GLP! Imagine a pond with mud at the bottom. As soon as you start to stir up the mud, the water of the previously perfectly clear pond becomes muddy and not very nice – but only for a short time. Once the mud has left the pond, the water reflects even more beauty, clarity and stillness.

And so it is with us, too.

I invite you to be courageous and take this as a journey of exploration to see how much clearing can happen for you during these 13 days. I think you may be surprised at how much clearer everything is once you have completed the process.

And don´t forget – there are hundreds of people doing the GOLDEN LIGHT PROJECT at the moment, and they are all supporting you as you are supporting them.

We are with a beautiful group of people in Southern Spain, doing the GOLDEN LIGHT PROJECT together – it is a wonderfully uplifting experience! So much love is travelling from here to our Golden Light Family wherever you may be!

Dear Golden Light Family,

Steven and I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in this GLP#11!
We found the collective energy of the group to be very focused, powerful and committed. And the golden light was strong and clear as I have never felt it before.

We have received wonderful feedback over the past 13 days – many people experienced remarkable changes and healing and a lot of clearing and release happened as we individually and collectively called the golden light into ourselves and into Mother Earth. It feels to me that as a group we have really moved forward and achieved a great deal. How this work will impact our personal and global future over the next weeks and months remains to be seen.

However, one thing I am sure about: Our efforts have not gone unnoticed by the world of spirit, and radiant blessings will come from the realms of light to those who are doing this work in service to humanity and our planet. Let us continue to remember the love in our hearts and the radiance of our true nature as unlimited beings, so that our light can shine brighter and stronger with each passing day.

We are all much loved and protected by Spirit.

I received this text some time ago and just came across it again. It brightened up my day so I would like to share it with you at the start of yet another new week.

The cycle of life is all backwards.
You should die first; start out dead and get it out of the way!
Then, you wake up in an old people’s home, feeling better every day.
You get kicked out for being too healthy; you go and collect your pension, then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day!
You work 40 years until you are young enough to enjoy your retirement. You drink booze, you party, you enjoy your love life and you get ready for High School.
After having a blast, you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities.
You become a baby.
You then spend your last 9 months on earth floating peacefully within luxuries like central heating, spa, room service on tap and larger quarters with each day.
Finally, you finish off as an orgasm.

Enjoy and have a good laugh!
